The Pasadena Musical Theatre Program (PMTP) is a nonprofit musical theatre training organization committed to bringing the highest quality in performing arts education to students who reside or attend school in Pasadena, Altadena and Sierra Madre, California. Armed with an exceptional staff of professional teaching artists from Broadway to the Music Center, we provide students with a creative environment where they develop talent and skills in acting, singing and dance in a unique conservatory-style program.

Workshop Company (3-week program)
THE BEST OF BROADWAY
Hearken back to PMTP's roots! The Workshop is light on sets and costumes but chock-full of singing and dancing! And, it's up first!! Note: Students from either the Junior or Senior company may also participate in the Workshop production concurrently.

THE FROG PRINCE CONTINUED

WEST COAST PREMIERE. When "happily ever after" isn’t what he expected, The Frog Prince heads out for a new adventure. While searching for his true amphibian self, he meets witches from Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Hansel and Gretel, and Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother. This musical tour through the enchanted forest is the work’s regional premiere.

THE TAVERN KEEPER’S DAUGHTER

A PMTP ORIGINAL MUSICAL. Returning home to Milwaukee from WWII, Lenny, a young Polish marine, finds himself arranged to marry the tavern keeper's daughter from the bar across the street. Wanting more than a small town life, he runs off to New York City, where he meets Wanda, a spunky young woman trying to make something of herself in the Big Apple. Together they embark on a hilarious and heartwarming journey of self-discovery and romance. The Tavern Keeper’s Daughter is a brand-new, throw-back musical that celebrates that home is what you choose to make of it.

WHICH PERFORMANCE COMPANY IS RIGHT FOR YOU?
All 4th – 6th Graders should enroll in the Junior Company.
For 7th – 12th Graders, the Workshop Company is perfect for musical theatre beginners with limited or no stage experience, students who can’t make the six-week commitment of the Senior Company, or students who are looking to have fun with drama.
The Senior Company is right for 7th – 12th Grade students with some experience in music, theatre, and/or dance; students ready to engage in a serious, high-intensity six-week program designed to encourage skill-building and professionalism.
